”I arrived today feeling all alone, overwhelmed and upset with the emotions of being a carer. By the end of the session after talking to other carers and the care professionals I felt SO much better. The course feels like having a big hug.”

This is why our ‘Memory Steps Course’ is so important for carers. The ‘Care Planning’ session was brilliantly presented with deep compassion by Leonie and Alison from
Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care.
Laura, Social Prescriber from the
‘Hospital and Community Navigation Service’ (commissioned by
My Wellbeing W3RT) spoke eloquently about the non-clinical support service they provide.

Parag and Gareth from
Visiting Angels Middlesex and Visiting Angels - South Herts spoke about the process of finding a good home care provider and gave very clear and helpful tips on what you should expect.

The innovative idea of the ‘Memory Steps Course’ came from our wonderful Volunteer,
Barry Beasley. He cared for his wife, Enid for 6 years and has volunteered to support people affected by dementia since 2019.
