Supporting Dementia Action Week

Our ‘Dementia Carers Group’ at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden was facilitated by Occupational Therapist, Natasha, and provided a wonderful space for open discussions and a circle of support. Loved ones partied next door enjoying their very own karaoke group!
At One YMCA Communities Leavesden Country Park, 55 of us partied together at our Smile Club. Thank you to Nick Denney for entertaining us all and Sheree, Trustee for our delicious poppy cakes.
At Burston Garden Centre, we launched our first monthly ‘Smile Table’. We had a fabulous turn out welcoming 35 Smile family members. Huge thank you to the staff for their excellent hospitality.
The fourth session of our 9th ‘Memory Steps Course’ took place at Leavesden Country Park. We enjoyed talks from West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, HertsHelp, Healthy and Independent Living Support, Three Rivers District Council and a dance session from GKL Active Wellbeing.
